Creating a hyperlink in Small Farm Central
Hyperlinks or simply links move the user from one page to the next when clicked on. They are often signified by a blue text color and underlined, though this standard changes from site to site.
Throughout the Small Farm Central control panel you will see a rich text editor that you can use to translate your content into a beautiful and web accessible web page. The text editor allows you to create links; follow the directions below.
- Highlight the text that you want to link.
- Click on the button the text editor that looks like a chain link. If you hold your mouse over the button it will say "Insert/edit link."
- A box will pop-up as seen below:
- Now go to the page you want to link to and copy the complete address from "http://" all the way to the end.
- Paste the address into the "Insert/edit link" pop-up box in the text box labeled Link URL
- Then simply click the Insert button in the bottom left of the pop-up box and the text will turn blue and underlined to signify that it is now a link.
There are many other advanced options in the "Insert/edit link" pop-up box. Explore at your leisure, but the basics are as stated above.
