The Membership Updates tool allows your customers to update their own membership. They can use it to change their contact information or, if you've allowed this, change what options they have chosen for their membership types. It's an easy way to let customers take some of the administrative work off your hands.
You'll need to add the Update Your Membership tab to your website. To do this, head to your control panel, and click on Member Assembler > Members > Membership Updates. The first tab is Update Types. Here you can choose the member types that your customers have permission to update. You will have to be mindful of what to allow them to change and should remove what types are editable when appropriate. You don't want someone 9 weeks into your CSA to be able to change their 16-week share to an 8-week share.

Choosing types to allow your members to update.
Click on the Page Settings tab to configure the title and description of the Update Membership page. You will also select the season that your customers can update and "turn on" the Update Membership page.

Setting your Page Settings for your Membership Updates
Click submit. For website users, you'll see that a new menu item has been added to your site, called "Update Membership." You can control where these new page is listed by heading to Administrate > Menu Manager. For Member Assembly only accounts, and others who might like this, there is a widget for member links, including Update Membership. Just navigate to Display > Widgets > Add Prebuilt and find the Member Assembler Links widget. The widget should have all the links a member might need.
When your members navigate to the page, they must first submit their email address to confirm their identity. An email will be sent to them, with a link to a unique page with their membership info where they can make what changes you have allowed.
You will receive an email any time one of your members has updated their membership. Remember as you move through the seasons, you'll have to update this page so folks are working off of your current season.
