Photo Gallery - Uploading a new photo

Uploading farm photos to a Small Farm Central website is easy to do through the control panel that you can access anywhere Internet is found.

Follow these easy steps to upload a new photo to your website:

  1. Take a digital photo of life on your farm. Customers love to see how their food is grown and the people that grow it. High quality digital cameras can be purchased for less than $200.
  2. Log in to the Small Farm Central control panel from your site. Instructions for this are provided when you start your site. On the left side of the control panel, you will see the link "Photo Gallery" - click it.

The new photos should be downloaded to your computer (follow instructions provided by the camera manufacturer), and now you must select the photo you want to upload by clicking the browse button as shown in the screenshot below.

  3. Now the file is uploaded. We can then "tag" the photo with different categories that will enable users to easily find photos on certain topics later. In this case, I may want to tag this photo with "peaches" "spring" and "workers." This step is optional. (Shown in screenshot below.)
Adding categories to each photo helps users navigate to photos they are interested in.Adding categories to each photo helps users navigate to photos they are interested in.
  4. The photo is now available to the public as seen in the screenshot below. Of course you may delete or edit this photo at any time through the control panel. This process puts the control of your website in your hands without forcing you to learn any of the technology behind creating a website.
